Fun and flexible

I ordered 4 of these as an impulse buy during a sale. I have a few other Shelly products (power plugs/switches and temp/humidity sensors) and appreciate that they can be used without any cloud connectivity. That goes the same for these lights. I'm controlling them with my own custom software and the simple HTTP API for status and commands is making that pretty easy.

One of the four bulbs did have a flaky red element, so it can't reliably show colors that need the red channel. I provided a video to Shelly customer support and quickly received a coupon code for a replacement.

I am impressed at how fast they can accept commands, This is allowing me to make a lot of fun effects and patterns/cycles versus relatively static colors.

Work Great

These work great! My only complaint is I couldn't use them right out of the box with HA. The firmware had to be updated on them. There was not clear instructions for doing that. Thank goodness for the redit HA forum to the rescue. I will continue to use Shelly devices for sure!
